Exposed
This is my piece for the Connections fibre group exhibit titled "Naked"at the Dundas Carnegie Gallery in February. My piece is titled "Exposed". It is made with superfine white merino. It is still a little wet and the felted spheres are very firmly felted and quite heavy.
I have now cleaned off my table and I am going to lay out some scarves. I have tons of work to do for my solo show, but I want to get several scarves to the guild shop for holiday shopping time! I did get my grant report done and an entry for a juried show...so, progress is being made!!

Andrea, this is waay, WAAAAY COOL! especially after reading your journey to get to the finished piece...
Question: what is the size? Looks like it could be about 3 feet long?!
Wow...really amazing, wish I could come visit the show .
Wow - wicked! What is the size Andrea?
Well Andrea, I love all of your work, but I think this is my new favorite. It's a mixture of simplicity and complexity, all rolled (no pun intended)into one piece...Absolutely fantastic! Oh how I wish I could see (and touch) this in person.
Breath-taking Andrea, truly.

I love your work, so organic. I wish you well with your show
Ha, you all make me laugh...I really was not sure about this piece and you have made me feel better! The "pod portion is about 18 inches and the whle thing is about 3 feet. Since the theme is "Naked" for the show, I thought white was fitting...my second choice was a flesh colour, but I had more white! I used a superfine merino so the finish is almost like suede. Hmmm, I kinda like it too!
Beautiful. It reminds me of the droplet like strands created by the glow worms. Don't know if you have them there. They live in caves and tunnels
Pam
perfect...big fan of cave and tunnel creatures!

Beautiful!
