Last One..."Precarious"

I had a student in my studio yesterday so this had to wait to be felted today. It was taken on my orange studio wall and it is still drying, so a proper image will be taken later!

I'm pretty pleased. I love working with the C-1/pelsull, although it is a bit hard on the hands when hand rubbing for long periods. I am bitter-sweet about having the work done for my show (to be delivered next Saturday). Am I happy? what would I have done differently? All steps in my arts career and part of the learning process. I still have a couple of hanging devices to complete, pieces to pack and label, but the "art" part is done. Excited about what will come next....

Verrry nice Andrea. The more I looked, the more I saw in the simplicity of the forms and negative space at the bottom with the tails. You give your work a voice of it's own. Well done. Do you think it's time for your own book?

I look forward to seeing each piece, up close....beautiful. Now it's time to share...move past sewing and over into reaping. Sigh.

I have so enjoyed watching the process of your preparation for this exhibit. I love that you sometimes doubt yourself and are sometime taken aback by the success of your work. This is what being an artist is about. You should be proud of your efforts as I'm sure they will stun the audience. I only wish I could see them in the flesh.

Andrea, I've got to admit I've neglected your blog for a bit, but how happy I was to see "the next new thing" you've created. It is beautiful and I love the title. The orbs look like stepping stones on a path...and life's path is "Precarious" ..and for those of us who get to peek in on your art, it is also joyful.
Wish I could be there is person to see it all.
