During the felting process....hard to believe this is that same piece, no? The white is atop that bed of hairy Karakul wool that migrates like crazy and eats up most of the design, but the subtleties are still there upon close inspection. There are textures like dragon skin and areas with a bit of lustre.

Very much I like your works
Wow! This new piece looks like I could feel the texture and luster from here..I like the idea of dragon skin..and the wool's travels seem to have created beautiful and mysterious terrain!
I like that, Ginny. Yes, mysterious terrain.
Amazing texture and I love the subtlety of the design.
Andrea, this piece has a magical quality. Just beautiful!
I love all the texture, the little pockets of mystery, who would have guessed what it would become from the lay out...you would, apparently.....lol
Really interesting. Love it.Where is the karakul from? Namibia?
The Karakul is from Hudson Valley, Massachsetts!
Such yummy textures
Very beautiful Andrea! So exciting to see how you used the karakul fiber.
