Momma's got a Brand New Bag

More like a tote, really. It is just the right size for my day planner and sketch book and other things I need on the go. There is a convenient pocket for keys and cell phone so no digging around. The bag is about 13 inches wide and about 16 inches tall so it is larger than it may seem in the images. The handles are made from fine leather and are really quite nice for a change as I usually do felted handles. Just fun to switch it up a little. Well, me making a bag is switching it up a little...not my usual! I really enjoy working with the c-1 Pelsull...
Playtime was fun...although anytime felting feels like playtime...on to other things!

That turned out great . It would take me at least 12 hours of needle felting to make a bag that size. also....

Thanks for answering my question about wet-felting vs needle felting, I am still working up the nerve to try it and thinking about trying to wet felt my "softer" needle felt bags to make them more durable .

Once you get over the fear you may realize wet felting is much more efficient way to make a bag. This bag is very durable and will still look like new after lots of use. starting small by wet felting one of your small bags you have needled is a great idea. Try it on a bag you are prepared to see really change and felt it as small and firm as you can. This would be an interesting test or just layout a flat sample 12x12 and don't stop until it is 9X9 and you will have an idea of what your felt will feel like when it is "done". Go for it!
