Scarves!

Not a great picture, but give me a break...it is early and I have only had one cup of coffee. Aren't they purdy? I am working away, as my current schedule permits, to get a dozen scarves to one of my galleries, the Ontario Crafts Council Guild Shop. Thye have the most amazing selection of fine craft, it knocks my alpaca socks off. These collage scarves are what some would call "nuno", perhaps, (I prefer the tern "Laminate" ) but these ones are my fall/winter (and spring in Canada) weight. The green one is wider and a cross between a wrap and a scarf. I have 2 more laid out ready to felt. I can't wait to get to them! Unfortunately the deal with the buyer of my other business has fallen through so the search begins for another buyer. It will happen when the time is right! Have a great day, all and felt something, will ya'?!

Ohhh ... those look very nice. Would love to see more pics of these. Since I don't wet felt, I have no clue how you do these. Do you teach this technique? Do you ever get to Nova Scotia to teach?
Could we see more of those? Your blog followers are rather demanding, aren't we? Sorry to hear your sale of the store fell through. Maybe your boys could run that end of things for some extra allowance. That's just a thought..

Lindsey, for now you will have to wait in line!

Dolphina,
If you have some merino wool, lots of pretty silk fabric bits, silk fibres and yarns, give it a try! try a little sample first and when you make your scarf make it really long you can expect lots of shrinkage and you will want it fully "fulled". Have fun :o)

Wow...Those really are amazing and inspiring . I'm still in the "grade school" of learning felting but you definitely give us beginners something to aspire too .

Yes Andrea, they are lovely, and the right buyer will show up. I've seen them in person and they are great to the touch! Everyone should want one!
